My Favorite Baby Carrier

Ever since leaving my job and becoming a Mom, I liked the idea having some way of earning some extra money without taking too much time and attention away from my true job, which I love, taking care of our daughter. Since my husband, David Rosenberg, has been a successful internet-based retailer for a number of years now and has helped others develop or improve their internet businesses as well, I decided an internet business might be the way for me to go as well.

I've learned a lot about internet-based business over the years, since David often uses me as a sounding board for his ideas and he also likes telling me about all the new things he learns regarding web-page usability, e-commerce best practices, and internet advertising. To make a long story short, I started using the ERGO baby carrier with our daughter, thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread and was sure that other mothers would really like it as well. David encouraged me to go ahead with the business and before I knew it www.MyFavoriteBabyCarrier.com was up and running.

Of course David is my husband, but I see and hear him talking with the other people he works with as well and he gives us all the same sorts of information and service. To be honest, developing the website itself was easier than I thought it would be. David gave me a couple of choices for the look of the home page, we talked about what other pages I would need, then he spent extra time with our daughter while I wrote all the text for him to plug in (I am quite sure he does not offer this service for his other clients - sorry!)

Besides being incredibly fast at putting the website together, he also very helpful in telling me all the things I needed to do to set up the business in general: the warehouse situation (I use the same one he does), webhost, 800 number, merchant account, business license, etc. It all seemed a bit overwhelming at first, but he broke it all down for me and that helped a lot. I wouldn't have had a clue what to do and what order to do everything in without him.

Now we are in the midst of it all and he continues to help me figure out all the options for increasing my traffic and conversion rates. I thought I knew what I was getting into because of my second-hand knowledge of his business all these years, but I didn't. There is so much to know and learn and I would never be doing as well as I am now (or probably ever) without David's knowledge, work, and guidance.

In my opinion, David is good at what he does because of who he is. He is honest to a fault and I think his integrity as a person and a businessman is apparent to all that know and/or have done business with him. He takes great pride in his work and only does things to the best of his ability. He is a voracious reader and has always preferred educating himself over taking classes.

As a result, he can read, digest, and apply information that most of us would never even think about tackling - e.g. he taught himself HTML. Most importantly, David loves a challenge and making a business successful or more successful on the internet is definitely a challenge. He spends a lot of time trying to figure out the hows and whys of every aspect of a website and its advertising. He is constantly testing and tweaking new ideas based on his observations or his constant reading.

I always thought he was rather brilliant when it comes to all of this, but until I did my own site, I didn't realize all that is involved in what he does. I, like all of his clients, pay him a percentage of my profits. Some may think that this is strange, but this arrangement works for us. And believe me, he deserves every penny he gets. I think it's really fair of him too, because if his pay is a reflection of how successful he can make the web-business work.

Compassionate Souls

I've been very happy with the website that David created promoting my book "Compassionate Souls -- Raising the Next Generation to Change the World". I was hesitant to enter the cyber world, but David has made it so easy, and has always been so prompt in helping me with whatever I've needed, I don't regret it at all. David did a fabulous job of taking my ideas and information and packaging them in an attractive and easily accessible way.

As a home schooling mother I've had very little time to actually promote my book, and have relied almost entirely on my website for sales. Nonetheless, Compassionate Souls has sold out its first printing! I highly recommend David as a webmaster, he is very talented, continues to educate himself regarding the newest and latest that is relevant to E commerce and is extremely trustworthy.
